Much to my surprise I feel pretty good after the 5 miles on Saturday and decided to see if I could do a repeat performance this morning. Even though a cold front is on the way in, the early drive in to the gym was not that awful so I managed to get there easily.
I set the initial focus for 4 miles but I felt good at the point so I pushed on one more for a total of 5 miles again this morning. I am not that fond of the “dreadmill” but until I can get a consistent routine and distance back into my life I will have to stay indoors.
I will fight the excuses that kept me from the gym over the past weeks and try my best to funnel that energy into a stronger workout instead of hosting a pity party.
